BASURA

Andy is proud to serve as Associate Director to Michael Greif on the world premiere of Basura, a powerful new musical with songs by Gloria Estefan and Emily Estefan, debuting at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre as part of its 2025–2026 season. Running May 30–July 12, 2026, on the Coca-Cola Stage, Basura is inspired by the true story of Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra—an ensemble of young musicians who craft instruments from landfill materials and transform their lives through music. With a book by acclaimed playwright Karen Zacarías and choreography by Patricia Delgado, the production features music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Tony and Grammy winner Alex Lacamoire, and dramaturgy by Ken Cerniglia.

This marks a meaningful reunion for Andy with longtime collaborators Gloria and Emily Estefan, Michael Greif, and Alex Lacamoire—artists he has previously worked with on deeply meaningful projects.
